HYDERABAD: The Telugu film industry will celebrate September 15 as Tollywood Day. There will be no shootings on the day as the industry will hold celebrations to commemorate the 80 years of Telugu cinema. It was on September 15, 1931 that the first Telugu talkie 'Bhakta Prahlada' was released.
President of Movie Artistes Association (MAA) M Muralimohan said on Saturday that they are planning to observe and celebrate September 15 as Tollywood Day every year . A flag specially designed for the film industry would also be unfurled during the celebrations this year.
