This Movie Is Coming Soon as Rowdram in Telugu
The film starts with an impressive flashback scene where Prakashraj single handedly fights badmen & teaches his grandson a lesson or two. He is grown up as an angry young man (Jiiva) & fights against bad guys. Shriya as any other filmy heroine, is awed by his antics & falls for him instantly.
The first half sails through with commercial ingredients like songs, comedy, family sentiments & few well choreographed action sequences. However, the film stumbles in the second half & lotta action sequences in slow motion scenes takes a toll and leaves you bored. And also, it has numerous no. of gangsters introduced without much clarity & thought, which makes the film very lengthier.
Jiiva has given matured performance with gud support from other actors. The much hyped Ganesh acharya character is wasted with just 'Golimare' song & few scenes. But, it's Jayaprakash who steals the show with his natural acting as Jiiva's loving as well as responsible dad.
Debuntant director shows promise with some nice planned shots but the screenplay without flow confuses and shows his amateurishness. Dialogues are very original but not powerful enough to keep you engaged. Cinematography by Shanmugasundaram is ravishing. Songs by newcomer Prakash Nikki are a big letdown except 'Maalai mangum Neram'
Overall, the film narrates the same old story but in a very different way, though it has shades of Seeman's 'Thambi' & many other films of that kind. It stands apart in its treatment & the well told message in the end. The movie will be game for those who love raw action.
