A leap year is one in which there are 366 days in a year instead of 365 days, that additional day is in the month of February. A leap year is one which happens every 4 years, but not every 100 years, then again every 400 years. So in simple words any year which is divisible by 4 is a leap year but the above condition of 400 year has to be met. Given below is the list of leap years from 19th to 21st century-

As one can see that year 1900 was not a leap year but year 2000 was a leap year and year 2100 will not be a leap year.
