Pen drive is used to store data from laptop or desktop so as to transfer that data to other devices, pen drive has become a necessity in this age of technology where everything is digital. Given below are some of the features of pen drive -

1. Pen drive is small as compared to floppy disk and therefore it can be carried anywhere.
2. Pend drive can store large amount of data in it which can range from 2 GB to 128 GB and therefore they can be very useful if one wants to store large amount of data.
3. Pen drive is removable and also they are rewritable which makes them the preferred choice for carrying data when compared to floppy disk or CD.
4. Pen drive can be attached to many devices like Xbox 360, televisions, DVD players and so on, in other words they can be put to multipurpose use.
5. Pen drives are cheap as compared to other storage devices because a CD or DVD can carry limited data and they can be used only once if they are not rewritable while pen drive can be used multiple times as data can be erased easily from it to insert new data in it.
