VV Vinayak’s super hit film Tagore is likely to be remade in Hindi. The 2003-release, originally a remake of AR Murugadoss’ Ramana (Tamil), casted Chiranjeevi and Shriya Saran in the leads and had the protagonist fight against corruption. Producer Madhu Mehta is learnt to have bought the remade rights of Tagore for Rs 10 crore, said news in a Mumbai-based tabloid. Sharing his thoughts, Madhu Mehta said he loved the message that Tagore underscored and believes in its relevance in the present context. The producer however didn’t divulge the star cast. The buzz is that perfectionist Aamir Khan might play Chiranjeevi in the Hindi remake.
