A leopard was shot dead after it attacked and injured six people in a slum in West Bengal's Darjeeling district Tuesday. Before getting killed, the leopard went on to attack six forest guards. It tried hard to escape from them who surrounded it with guns and rifles.

 The leopard attacked a woman in Lumbu slum near Siliguri town Tuesday afternoon and then pounced upon two men, including a forest department employee, said V.K. Sood, conservator of forest, North Bengal.

The police and forest guards tried to control the beast but it never obliged. They had to shoot in self defense and the fully grown leopard died after it was moved to Sukna forest office. Check out the mind-boggling live action photos of leopard on rampage.
