Chennai Super Kings opener Murali Vijay blasted a quick fire 95 runs which helped his team to retain the IPL trophy. Vijay along with Michael Hussey posted 159 runs for the first wicket, which the best ever partnership in IPL history.
Murali Vijay was quickly off the blocks and dominated the show right from the start. He kept on hitting sixes in quick succession and didn’t allow Bangalore bowlers to settle down. He didn’t show respite to any of the bowlers. Vijay looked like scoring his third IPL century but eventually fell short of it as he suffered dehydration.
Chennai Super Kings rode on Murali Vijay’s superb knock and posted a high score of 205 runs which seemed a mountain for Banagalore Royal Challengers who lost their main weapon, Chris Gayle in the very first over. Murali was deservedly declared the man of the match.
