30-year-old Rehman from Rayalaseema is the only Muslim lyricist in the Telugu Film Industry. Though he made his debut in 2004, it is only through Evaraina Epudaina he had got some recognition. Armed with a degree, he came to Hyderabad against his parents wishes and even worked as a labourer to make his ends meet. Now lady luck is smiling on him, he has written two songs for Pawan Kalyan's Lovely, Ram Gopal Varma's Bezawada Rowdylu and Rana Daggubati's Nenu Naa Rakshasi.
There was a time when people questioned his knowledge on Telugu literature but now the word's spreading about his special touch to melodies. He also sings. The modest and shy lyricist has only one thing to say, "I love Telugu and my best friend Ram Prasad who gave me a second life."
