The industry was abuzz with rumours that director Shankar was going to make a big-budgeted film, with a budget of Rs. 500 crores, with Rajnikanth and Kamal Hassan in the lead roles. However, Kamal Hassan flatly denied the news. He was in the city on Thursday to attend the curtain raiser on Media And Entertainment Business Conclave 2010, an event, organised by Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI). When media persons sought his reaction on the rumours, he said, "Am I doing a film with Rajnikanth? I don't know what you are talking about."

"I arrived in Hyderabad on the same flight as Shankar this morning. But he did not tell me anything about the project," he said, laughing.
