Balakrishna – Bapu film Sri Rama Rajyam was launched today at Rama Krishna studios, Hyderabad. This is a mythological film and Balakrishna is playing the role of Lord Sri Rama in it. Nayanthara is roped into play Sita’s role and hero Srikanth is playing Lakshmana’s role in Sri Rama Rajyam.

Akkineni Nageswara Rao is teamed up with Balakrishna after a longtime for this film. He will do the role of Valmiki in Sri Rama Rajyam. Balakrishna gave the first clap for this film that is being produced by Yalamanchili Saibabu. Legendary writer Mullapudi Venkataramana is providing the script for this film.

Regular shooting of Sri Rama Rajyam will start shortly. By playing Rama’s role, Balakrishna has recorded a rare feat among his contemporaries. Balakrishna is the only Telugu (probably Indian) hero to play Sri Krishna and Sri Rama roles in the last three decades.
