she is the female lead opp to ‘Pawan’?:Tolly Updates

After being paired with Rajnikanth in Tamil film ‘Kochadaiyaan’, “Deepika Padukone” is being considered as the female lead opposite Pawan Kalyan for his “Gabbar Singh 2” film.

Deepika is the front-runner for the female lead in Gabbar Singh franchise; two others who are in running are Sonakshi and Samantha.  Although Kajal Aggarwal was the first choice, she is no more in the race.

The date issue holds the makers to finalise the Gabbar lady.  Talks are going on and mostly Deepika will be the leading lady as per recent film ‘Chennai Express’ was a big hit.

Pawan’s upcoming film ‘Attarintiki Daaredi’ stuck due to ongoing agitation in Seemandhra, Pawan is going to look into his another project.

The maker’s are almost finalized the title ‘Gabbar Singh 2’, unless there are any legal issues about the title.  The project will be started in the September.

Deepika has T-town connection.  Not many know that she made her debut with the Kannada flick ‘Aishwarya’ which was a remake of the Telugu hit ‘Manmadhudu.

Dir says, “Nothing has been finalized and will be announced in a week time.  This is neither a sequel nor prequel to Gabbar Singh and it is a fresh story.”
