The police story did not garner great reviews and had average music but scored due to aggressive promotions by Prince Pictures. It also released big in large number of screens worldwide and it seems to have worked.
Singam 2 had Anushka, Hansika, Santhanam, Vivekh and a new villain in Danny with music by Devi Sri Prasad. It can be termed as a super hit and is sure to celebrate 100 days run.
