Following the league of debatable films after Vijay’s Thalaivaa is
Shoojit Sircar’s Madras Café, which is produced by John Abraham. The
film opened all over the Country with great response except for the one
place it should have been – Tamil Nadu. Apparently the film has been
opposed by the groups of PMK, Naam Tamizar and MDMK, who believe that
the movie carries unpleasant content about Tamil Politics and community.
The movie revolves around the assassination of Ex Prime Minister Rajiv
Gandhi and all the issues and mysteries suuurounding the lives of people
post assassination. John plays the role of a secret RAW agent who is
out on a motive in Jaffna. Nargis Fakhri plays the female lead and the
response has been terrific overall. Whether the film will release in TN
or not – we have to just wait and watch for that
