Manchu Lakshmi is presently busy with her production venture 'Gundello Godari' apart from a role in RGV's 'Department'. The actress bagged a role in South India's top director Maniratnam's latest film 'Kadal' which stars Samantha and Tamil actor Kartik's son Gautam in lead roles. Latest buzz is Manchu Laxmi is playing the role of Samantha's mother in the film. It is learnt that hero Arjun is playing as her husband. Music has been scored by AR.Rahman and Rajeev Menon is handling Cinematography. Maniratnam's Madras Talkies is presenting the movie.-MM
