Stepfather forced Actress into prostitution

The arrest of Tamil actress and popular model Caroline Mariyath (22) for her alleged involvement in prostitution has sent shock waves in the south film industry. But the reasons that prompted her to chose such path were even more shocking!

On Saturday night, the Social Security Cell of the Crime Branch has arrested the actress in a five-star hotel at Viman Nagar. After preliminary investigation, the police said Caroline Mariyath's stepfather (Ranjeeth Mariyath Asan, who is also a model photographer) and stepbrother (Rajkumar) forced the actress into prostitution. The father-son duo had chosen wrong path to amass money, using their contacts with high-profile people. As per the police sources, Mariyath charged Rs 3 lakh per hour.

Police took Mariyath's stepbrother into custody and a special team is in search of her stepfather who is said to be absconding. Mariyath acted in a couple of Tamil films (Rain, Wadachalam) and three of her films were in post production stages. She was a popular face in modeling Industry and was seen in several diamond and textile ads.
