Gangaputrulu for Mumbai International Film Festival

MAMI received around 800 film entries worldwide out of which only 150 films are selected for screening.(Only 26 Indian films are selected . Gangaputrulu is the only telugu film to participate in this prestigious film festival). Another 50 world classics are selected for screening in retrospective category.

About Mumbai Film Festival:

Mumbai Film Festival is an initiative by Reliance Entertainment which is the flagship media and entertainment arm of India's Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group.  Mumbai Film Festival is organized by Mumbai Academy of Moving Image (MAMI) - a body comprised of Indian film industry stalwarts which was founded in 1997 by late filmmaker Shri Hrishikesh Mukherjee.

Noted filmmaker Shri Shyam Benegal heads the body that consists of film directors including: Yash Chopra, Ashutosh Gowarikar, Karan Johar, renowned actresses Shabana Azmi and Jaya Bachchan, actor-director Amol Palekar and Farhan Akhtar and the chairman of Reliance Big Entertainment Amit Khanna as Trustees.
