Doctorate to Akkineni Nageswara Rao

Veteran Ace Actor  Akkineni Nageswara Rao garu has been conferred with the Honorary Doctorate of Fine Arts in Acting. The Doctorate has awarded  to him by GITAM University in Visakhapatnam. GITAM had got deemed university status and has celebrated its anniversary.

Dr. V. K. Saraswat, Scientific Adviser to Defence Minister, Secretary Defence R&D and DG, DRDO were attended as Chief Guest to deliver the Convocation address. Akkineni has been the receiver of Best Actor Awards, Presidential Medals and Special Appreciations, besides Kalaprapoorna, Padma Bhushan, Dada Saheb Phalke Award, Raghupathi Venkayya Award and the recently conferred Padma Vibhushan.
