Popular kuchipudi classical dancer, well known for introducing the dance form of Perini, Nataraj Ramakrishna died this morning. He has been fighting it out in hospital for over a period of time with serious illness and breathed his last today.
Nataraj Ramakrishna was born on 23rd March, 1933. He introduced Perini dance form which was specially designed for the warriors under King Ganapathi Devudu that belonged to Kakateeya dynasty. Nataraj did so much service to the classic dance forms and tried his best to keep the ancient dance forms alive.
In sixty years of continuous study on Kuchipudi dance forms, Perini Nataraj Ramakrishna has written 40 books on the subject. There are numerous disciples for him at the moment who will continue his legacy.
