Court Issues Warrant Against Sanjay Dutt
Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt a.k.a. Sanju Baba purportedly made certain derogatory and objectionable remarks against the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati during an election rally last year for which he was summoned by a local court. Since, he could not appear despite receiving a notice, the court issued a bailable warrant of Rs. 10,000 against the actor.
Sanjay Dutt was the general secretary of Samajwadi Party during the Lok Sabha elections held in the year 2009. During an election campaign rally, he allegedly said that given a chance he would give jaadu ki jhappi and pappi to Mayawati. The warrant was issued by Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Arvind Mishra who also directed the Commissioner of Police of Mumbai city to serve the warrant to Sanjay Dutt. The hearing of the case has been scheduled on 15th January, 2011.
